Really loved the architecture and feel of this place. I stayed in a single room which was quite spacious and the bathroom was very clean and well maintained. The staff offer a really high standard of customer service and were delightful at all times. I felt the location was great, right next to once of the entrances to the Boboli Gardens and there are lots of lovely cafes and shops nearby. Would happily come and stay here again.

“Very enjoyable”

My family and I stayed here with a group of 21 other people on a trip from Rome through Florence to Venice. Some people found it creepy simply because of its design and that it had at one point been a convent. My husband, son and I rather enjoyed it. We found it rich in ambience and quite charming.… Fler

My family and I stayed here with a group of 21 other people on a trip from Rome through Florence to Venice. Some people found it creepy simply because of its design and that it had at one point been a convent. My husband, son and I rather enjoyed it. We found it rich in ambience and quite charming. The room was clean and accommodating and the shower, though very small, had the best water pressure of any hotel during our two week journey. I really enjoyed the breakfast, contrary to other people’s reviews, and it was very conveniently located to just about anything you could need or want. My only complaint is that there wasn’t any AC in the rooms so we had to sleep with our windows open and we got eaten alive by mosquitos The courtyard is peaceful but also a feeding ground for mosquitos. Really, there’s nothing that the hotel could do about it though, that’s just this area of Italy so close to water and the closer you get to Venice. I would certainly look for and book something like this again.

Stayed here for 3 nights as part of a school tour. Read on with the following 'caveats': 1. Florence is amazing 2. This hotel was part of the charm 3. Florence is amazing... Okay I loved it here - it just fit right in with my idyllic view of Tuscany and I couldn't have been happier. Now for you who are realists: the rooms are small as are the bathrooms. The hallways are hardwood so therefore are noisy. The breakfast I felt was just fine. Lots of choices and I never went hungry. Our room overlooked a small bar on the street corner - if you don't mind a bit of noise it just helps create more of that old school charm. So I might be a little biased but I really did have a nice stay here!

“Decent and tranquil ”

We stayed here for two nights, the place is very beautiful and tranquil, close to cafes and pizzarias, you can take the public bus from outside the hotel and the main station is 15 minutes away. The rooms are small but clean and the staff are very nice and helpful
