We loved our stay at Captains. All the staff were incredibly helpful, including going above and beyond to help us with the logistics of day trips. There was a useful laundry service which was very easy to request. Breakfast was delicious and they kindly arranged gluten free bed for one of us. The studio was lovely and our terrace with a sea view was a particular treat. Our room was clean, bright and comfortable. The common areas were lovely and had a great view. The pool was very refreshing too. The position in Kini is great, there is lots to do here and a short journey into Ermoupoli. As other reviews note, there is a short but steep walk, but this was fine for us. Syros is a lovely island to visit, lots to do, gorgeous coast and not too busy especially in September. We will be returning!!

If you want to experience real greek hospitality then this is the hotel for you. A proper family hotel where you are greeted with warm smiles and a beautiful friendly family, nothing is ever too much trouble. So much thought has gone into the design of the hotel, it's facilities and it's gorgeous rooms. We booked 9 nights and we really do not want to leave, it truly is a slice of heaven. My son absolutely adored all the family, its how I remember Greece from many years ago when I lived there. Seeing how special they made Harry feel with their warm and caring ways. These are moments that he will cherish forever. We will certainly miss this hotel, the island and its beauty. Thank you for making our first visit to Syros so perfect. We will be back.

This is a very nice hotel with some fabulous views over Kini bay. Our room was large with a small kitchen ( very importantly with a fridge) double balcony and nice views. To describe this as a ‘boutique hotel’ is stretching things a bit but it does have a lovely ‘home made’ charm. Staff are very helpful and will arrange taxi’s etc. and also do evening meals on request. The views from the breakfast area and pool are superb. The bus to Kini and Ermopoulous stops outside which is really useful as the walk back from Kini is long and steep! Not for the infirm. Babis does a great breakfast but a little more variety would be good.

We stayed for 3 nights and had a lovely stay. We had a studio that had a massive terrace and amazing views over Kini. The kitchen area is small but you could make a meal if you wanted to. We stayed for 3 nights and had a lovely stay. We had a studio that had a massive terrace and amazing views over Kini. The kitchen area is small but you could make a meal if you wanted to. The pool area is lovely, albeit it's close to the road. Breakfast was good and it was lovely eating on the terrace, looking at the view. We did, however, find it a bit repetitive as it was the same every day. We also had lunch and a dinner there, and whilst the menu was limiting, the food was good and reasonably priced. The only downside of having the amazing views is that it is a 10 minute walk down the hill to Kini and 15 or so up the hill. The bus stop is close to the hotel so it's easy to get to the main town.
