“Everything Beyond Expectations”

We stayed three nights at the Marty Hotel in Bordeaux, France in a deluxe king room with terrace, and were very pleased. The location was excellent - within walking distance of most everything we wanted to do in the city. Our room was ample in size, completely clean, attractively furnished, with everything in good working order. The front desk , bar, and housekeeping staff were all friendly and efficient. The bar area was impressively decorated and everything we ordered was excellent. When we requested an iron one morning and were told it would arrive in "two minutes" we did not take that literally. However, the iron - and ironing board - arrived in less than 2 minutes, delivered by an extremely pleasant and courteous staff member. In all, our stay was flawless and we would not hesitate to return to the Marty when we are in Bordeaux.

“Comfortable Stay”

Unique hotel in favorable location. We stayed three nights and enjoyed our entire stay. Front Desk agents were always available to assist and were very pleasant when interacting with guests. Unique hotel in favorable location. We stayed three nights and enjoyed our entire stay. Front Desk agents were always available to assist and were very pleasant when interacting with guests. The lobby area is vibrant with a collection of modern art - featuring local artists. Yet the furnishings are integrated well so the feel is comfortable and relaxing. Our room was small but clean and the bathroom was well laid out. Breakfast buffet was good but, as mentioned in another review, they were a little slow in replenishing some items . Upon checkout we learned that one of the Front Desk agents had actually lived in our city of Encinitas, Ca- only two miles from us. She spoke English and had been of great help to us during our stay.

“Nice hotel”

Nice hotel - well situated for the public transport system to the city centre and attractions. Parked at the hotel, but they have limited spaces. Don’t know how close alternative parking is. Staff very helpful, but why is the bar closed on Sunday and Monday?

Nice place, very friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast buffet. Quiet bar, however not open on Sunday and Monday. Quite small rooms (too?), yet nicely decorated. Nice place, very friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast buffet. Quiet bar, however not open on Sunday and Monday. Quite small rooms (too?), yet nicely decorated. We had a bad smell in our bathroom but staff was committed to resolve the issue. While it takes you only a <10' walk to get to the city center (Place Gambetta), the hotel is located in a rather obsolete quarter of the city with apparently abandoned buildings. Public transport close by the hotel.
