“Five star stay in Altafulla”

Best hotel I’ve ever stayed in Spain. Everything was five stars: the friendly welcome, the spacious and well laid out room, the snack on the rooftop terrace, the sleeping quality, the breakfast…. Would go back anytime, highly recommend this stunning hotel!

Almost impossible to find fault with this lovely hotel. We had watched it being built a couple of years and were now able to try it for a special anniversary. It was everything we could have wished for. The room, the bedding and towels (regularly changed without asking). The cleaning. The really friendly staff. Breakfast super. Rooftop pool and bar with the spectacular views. Bar prices better than local bars. Food for dinner far better than any of the local restaurants (which unfortunately are turning into fast food outlets).They even loaned us a parasol for the beach!! We have to go back!

This will probably be my best (highest scoring) review ever, but... then comes that problem of it becoming popular and we won't get a room again for less than double the price, so maybe i should say it was average :) i find 'boutique' a dangerous word as it means different things to different people. But the owners of may altafulla have got it as near perfect as possible. staff great, lobby/welcome perfect, design spot on, rooms perfect, mattress perfect, the roof pool/terrace/bar probably one of the coolest places we've ever hung out, breakfast fantastic, bar/pool prices for drinks VERY GOOD and clever, encouraging you to stay and chill in the hotel. its one block back from the beach/promenade so those wanting full Seaview will be disappointed but you'll hardly be in the room so don't let it put you off! this a great hotel, one of the best i've ever stayed in and i travel alot..keep your ritz carltons four seasons one and only etc etc - you don't need 4 restaurants 3 pools and a gym for 100 people in order to be a good hotel. everybody in hospitality should go stay here for a day and soak up what service and the hotel biz is really all about. staff were brilliant..cleaners, waiters, front desk..my wife and I have a 'never go back' rule as there's so much to see/experience in the world - we may have to break that rule for this place.

“Lovely hotel”

We stayed at the hotel in July for 6 days and it was great. The room and bathroom were beautiful and spotlessly clean, in fact the whole hotel was spotless. We stayed at the hotel in July for 6 days and it was great. The room and bathroom were beautiful and spotlessly clean, in fact the whole hotel was spotless. The pool area was lovely with plenty of sun beds, a couple of umbrellas for over the beds would have been good, especially this year as it was so hot. We had breakfast and lunch at the hotel and the food was good, plenty of choice at breakfast, not so much choice for lunch but what we had we enjoyed, especially the nachos. If I was going to go to Altafulla again I wouldn’t hesitate to stay at May.
