“Very good value- perfect position”

This is very good for a two star hotel; basic but spacious and clean. Comfortable bed and good hot water. The half board we chose was a good value option and the food was fresh and tasty. The staff were welcoming and very, very helpful. Breakfast was typical French continental; croissant, baguette etc. Perfectly adequate. On the Friday morning there was a market only a few steps away with wonderful food options. We bought excellent quality meat and cheese and fruit for our canal trip. There are also two supermarkets, Aldi and Atak, in easy walking distance of the hotel. The hotel is well situated in the middle of town and only two minutes walk from the station. The manager organised taxis for us to the Locaboat base and also went above and beyond to find a solution for one of our friends who had booked 2 rooms accidentally. A perfect place to choose if, like us, you are heading off on a Locaboat canal holiday.

“Very happy indeed”

Last minute decision to stop and stay here. Booked by telephone and arrived an hour or so later. A very warm welcome. Room exceptionally clean. There's a fair bit of refurb going on (top floor) and it really shows that the owners are investing in this hotel. There's a brand new lift for exam… Több

Last minute decision to stop and stay here. Booked by telephone and arrived an hour or so later. A very warm welcome. Room exceptionally clean. There's a fair bit of refurb going on (top floor) and it really shows that the owners are investing in this hotel. There's a brand new lift for example. Excellent free WiFi. Copious breakfast. We ate our evening meal at the restaurant downstairs and we very happy indeed. Quality food cooked with care and attention. Great service. This is a simple hotel but offers very good value for money together with a team that care. What more could you ask for?

“La Buissonniere is a great place to stay with friendly management and staff.”

We are from Australia and stayed at La Buissonniere for two nights prior to a one week boat trip on the Nirvernais canal. The Hotel was a great place to stay with excellent rooms, excellent restaurant with friendly and helpful staff. Our very limited French and the staff's limited English was no problem whatsoever. The free WIFI was very reliable and a real bonus.

Open for a late arrival, dog friendly, clean, quiet rooms and excellent bedding: for this budget you'd be hard pressed to find better. Add to that a very friendly staff, doing their best to make your stay a pleasant one, a great location on the Morvan National Park doorstep and it becomes an obvious choice. The breakfast is adequate and the lack of air conditioning was certainly not an issue in April! They were also refurbishing the whole place but we did not hear any noise.
