“Everything I needed”

Very clean and staff friendly and helpful. Good location. Breakfast somewhat more comprehensive than most-juice, toast, two eggs however you like them, a piece of tofu, coffee, fresh fruit, bread, Yogurt. Room is small but certainly adequate. “Excellent service by the Chef & Barman this evening”

I have stayed many times at the F&G whilst on business travel. I have found it to always be good value for money. I have stayed many times at the F&G whilst on business travel. I have found it to always be good value for money. This evening I wanted to eat in the hotel bar but there weren’t any warm main course vegetarian options on the menu. I asked the barman if the chef would make me a salad & french fries since these were on the menu as accompaniments. The chef came out & spoke to me & offered to make me a selection of roasted vegetables with goats cheese & caramelized onions. The plate that came was really delicious, lightly roasted vegetables, well seasoned & tasty goats cheese with warm bread. All nicely presented. Thank you very much to the Chef & Barman you really did give me good service, I appreciate it very much. Maybe you could put this on the menu as a vegetarian main course.
