“Wow: it' s an atmosphere hotel !”

I found a beautiful place with a big garden full of roses. The room was comfortable and very clean. All the people Who received me were helpful and smiling.

We spent two nights in Villa San Donino and it's a really nice place to spent some days. The house is on the top of a hill (you surely need a car to get there!) and the place is wonderful. The room are quite simple, but big and clean.

Beautiful summer lunchtime. This hotel is up in the hills above Citta di Castello. U-turn after u-turn. But it is a gorgeous place. Outside are tents with tablecloth covered tables and chairs covered to the floor and tied with bows. It is and would be a beautiful wedding destination. We just had lunch here but did see a room which was pretty simple given the fanciness of the place. Our food was excellent. The service friendly and perfectly timed. The choices on the menu were not just your everyday Umbrian food but had some innovation. I particularly liked my secondi veal chop with shaved summer black truffles. The meat was so tender and perfectly cooked. I will go back.

“A gem for a family holiday!”

Situated a few miles from Citta di Castello up a few interesting (!) switch back turns - you arrive to a magnificent setting and a very friendly welcome. Situated a few miles from Citta di Castello up a few interesting (!) switch back turns - you arrive to a magnificent setting and a very friendly welcome. The property has been in the same family for many years and managed by a lovely husband and wife team (Salvatore + Angelica) but the winning ingredients are Tania their manager whose enthusiasm and can do approach is abundant - she's also wonderful with children. And Antonio the chef who makes food that is way above the hotel's general 3 star rating. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff - they just want you to have a lovely stay Rooms are very simple, somewhat old fashioned and, and the bathrooms are very basic but clean and plentiful hot water. A huge pool, tennis court, and space for children to run around, play on the footie pitch, shoot some hoops or play volley ball. There is also table football and table tennis. And lots of local walking If I was to add anything it would be to have a proper sitting room / comfortable sofas and chairs in the reception area It's not a hotel in the traditional sense (in our view) rather it's a middle ground between l'agriturismo, a villa rental, and a hotel. They do hold weddings as there is an tiny ancient chapel, there was a wedding during our stay and it didn't interfere in our stay rather, it was charming to watch the bride and guests arrive :) An easy family holiday suited to those who wish to stay put relax by the pool, play tennis and while away the day or to those who like to spend days exploring but want a nice base to return to in the evening We're looking forward to returning
