“Great place to stay in Trapani”

We were lucky to stay in Residence Cortile Antico. Not only comfortable and modern apartment, but warm and friendly welcome of Salvatore. We were lucky to stay in Residence Cortile Antico. Not only comfortable and modern apartment, but warm and friendly welcome of Salvatore. It was very pleasant to meet such friendly person who gave us support with all our requirements (trips, rent a car, any needed information...). Trapani was a base for our excursions to near sightseeing, but also to magic historical Taormina or to Palermo. Our unforgettable experience of Trapani and Erice is associated with Salvatore´s willingness and knowledge of the site. Sincere thanks, family Tancer

“a wonderful week”

We stayed in Cortile Antico in April 2014 (ignore the date in the box below - it wouldn't let me enter "April 2014"). This review has only just gone in again because I didn't realize it had been rejected last last year for having words in English and Italian - apparently Tripadvisor doesn't allow that!. We had a wonderful time as the guest of Salvatore in Cortile Antico. The apartment has a real local feel to it. It is in the little alleys of the old town and surrounded by Sicilian families. We usually hire a car in Italy, but on this occasion we didn't and everything was fine - there was plenty to see within walking distance, we took the bus and cable car to the ancient city overlooking Trapani, we took a boat out to the island, and a bus to see the astonishing Greek Temple at Segesta. Salvatore arranged cabs as we needed them for the airport.The city centre is three minutes walk away, with all the facilities, shops, ice cream bars, restaurants, sights, cafes, cathedrals, you could wish for, centred on a stylish pedestrianized street

“Residence Cortile Antico”

The Residence Cortile Antico is a difficult place to find, located down one of Trapani's many backstreets (tucked away in the corner of an alleyway) From the outside this place doesn't look too good, It is in need of a external makeover to be honest but inside the rooms are comfortable, clean and … lisää

The Residence Cortile Antico is a difficult place to find, located down one of Trapani's many backstreets (tucked away in the corner of an alleyway) From the outside this place doesn't look too good, It is in need of a external makeover to be honest but inside the rooms are comfortable, clean and secure. The staff were very helpful and the building is located close to the center of town, there are a number restaurants within walking distance (including Ai Bastioni which is excellent) Trapani is a nice enough area and I enjoyed my time there, however I rented a car so getting around wasn't an issue. Trapani doesn't have much to offer (not enough to entertain you for an entire week) so I would recommend renting a car (if possible) that way you will be able to visit Erice, Marsala and Palermo without the hassle of public transport. If you're flying into Palermo (like I did) then you can expect a 40-60 minute journey into Trapani so I can't recommend a car enough if you're planning on taking this trip. In the end I enjoyed my week in Sicily and I would recommend The Residence Cortile Antico if you're planning on staying in Trapani.
