“Very good French home cooking”

Four of us where staying nearby for one night en route to Spain. It was Monday and few places were open, so we took a punt on this restaurant. So pleased we did. Four of us where staying nearby for one night en route to Spain. It was Monday and few places were open, so we took a punt on this restaurant. So pleased we did. We all chose from a fixed 27€ (I think) menu and all started with a soufflé with tiny lardons. We all said it was brilliant. A great start to our meal. Then came a faux filet (sirloin) and boeuf bourguignon (so tender and bursting with flavour) cooked in a local Pinot noir. We drank two bottles of the same wine - very good and excellent value. The other main was the faux fillet (sirloin) cooked rare and also very good. Our hard-working waitress/proprietor ( we assumed) was brilliant and charming.

“Nice traditional French hotel”

Hubby and I stayed here en route down to Spain. A little difficult to find. We parked outside the museum first and had a walk round to find the best way in. Very warm and friendly greeting and happy with our room which was in the building behind the hotel. Small courtyard car park. We have a L… lisää

Hubby and I stayed here en route down to Spain. A little difficult to find. We parked outside the museum first and had a walk round to find the best way in. Very warm and friendly greeting and happy with our room which was in the building behind the hotel. Small courtyard car park. We have a Land Rover Discovery which made parking a little tight but we got in. We didn't eat at the hotel but had very pleasant drinks outside the hotel in the evening. Good breakfast choices.

“Love Langres !”

Always wanted to try a Logis, so here we are in Langres :-) Old coaching inn with character, perhaps a little jaded but perfectly acceptable and would return when in the area. Always wanted to try a Logis, so here we are in Langres :-) Old coaching inn with character, perhaps a little jaded but perfectly acceptable and would return when in the area. Bar and restaurant on site although as with a lot of French establishments closes quite early unlike their Spanish neighbours. Ideally located just a few minutes walk from the town centre and also ideal a a base to explore the surrounding area. Walk around the walls of Langres a must !! Staff friendly and rooms clean. Motorcycle trip through Europe with a friend.

“Simple hotel”

a NICE OLD-FASHIONED, UNPRETENTIOUS HOTEL (IN SPITE OF THE NAME). Our room was large, the bedding excellent with a huge quantity of fluffy towel. The reading light above the bed was very good. The bathroom and the very basic furniture explain why this is a basic 2-story hotel. The bathroom is small… lisää

a NICE OLD-FASHIONED, UNPRETENTIOUS HOTEL (IN SPITE OF THE NAME). Our room was large, the bedding excellent with a huge quantity of fluffy towel. The reading light above the bed was very good. The bathroom and the very basic furniture explain why this is a basic 2-story hotel. The bathroom is small and the soap dispensary (very ecological), is a bit awkward in the shower which is very slippery. In short, the rooms lack charm although the hotel is still nice. Excellent breakfast.
