This cozy guest house overlooking an oasis is set in a traditional house. Rooms are simple but spotlessly clean and there are large common areas with traditional furniture. There is a leafy garden and pool for the hot summer months and the traditional offset courtyard design is built to circulate air in the hot months. WIFi is fast and there is a TV in the lounge. The caretaker has been working there for decades and is very kindly and hospitable. Note that you should ask them for the best number to call to let you into the gated compound—I arrived in the evening and we called the no. on the Internet. No answer. Four days later the man called back!! We had to bang on the gate for the caretaker to hear us.... They can prepare dinner on request and advance notice. Breakfast is very simple and carby.

It's waht you get. pool dominationg the oasis; Breakfast is included, but coffee and tea are of poor quality, you get some boring bread, with too little butter and too little jam and the pancakes were nit freshly made ... - no fruits, not even dates in high date season even though you are close to the oasis. The kitchen is very badly equipped, hardly any knife is worth the name, there is not even oil or drinking water - you literally have to buy everything except for salt. It's clean, but there is definetly some renovation to be done urgently (i.e. tiles missing, furnitire badly repaired). it seems as if someone is making money out of the place as long as this is possible without any effort - a pitty. Firewood was limited to one load a day, coal for BBQ costs extra - at this price ridiculous. And: you cannot pay by card, the owner expects the custormer to pay cash on site. Not appropraite at all. Nonethelss, I would go again. The Tunisan stuff on site is very friendly and the house is charming.
