“Awesome place, lovely host and great food!”

We stayed here on a hiking trip in the Sierra Nevada. Emily received us warmly (turned out we all speak Dutch, making conversation even more easy) and made a lovely 3-course dinner for us to enjoy in the evening. We stayed here on a hiking trip in the Sierra Nevada. Emily received us warmly (turned out we all speak Dutch, making conversation even more easy) and made a lovely 3-course dinner for us to enjoy in the evening. The rooms are spotlessy clean and cannot be faulted. We would gladly return in winter to spend a few evenings relaxing at the fireplace as that looked very inviting as well. Highly recommended!

“Relaxing inn with friendly host and delicious food”

We stayed there on a hiking trip which was booked by our agent, and what a treat it was. We wish that we could have stayed another night or two to soak up the ambiance. Emily is a Super Host, ready to do anything, including pulling two suitcases to the top of cobbled streets to meet our driver who was taking us to our next night's accommodation at the end of a hiking day. And she had our breakfast early so we could get on the trail before it was too hot, Dinner was like a family event, as the five guests agreed to be at one table instead of three, so we all enjoyed an excellent meal of all local foods of chicken with wonderful sauce, roasted red peppers and rice with herbs, preceded by almond soup and followed by fresh fruits with fresh sheep/goat yogurt which was so rich and creamy it was like whipped cream, not to mention a lovely dessert wine on the side. Highly recommend. The only drawback was wi fi which did not work on our room, but it was fine in the hallway outside our room. And on the roof top terrace where one could relax and enjoy e view.

We just spent one night here, but we would have been happy to spend a week. It's a beautiful old building, fully restored, with a comfortable common room. We just spent one night here, but we would have been happy to spend a week. It's a beautiful old building, fully restored, with a comfortable common room. Our room fronted on a lovely terrace with a spectacular view. The inn is run by Emily, who's fluent in several languages, and who cooks excellent meals for her guests. She's also happy to offer advice on exploring the local terrain. Our beds were comfortable, our room was big, and our shower was hot and strong.

My girlfriend and I spent two nights in Sonia's Casa, and we would have loved to stay longer. The house is very typical of the Alpujarras, and located in one of the cutest village of La Taha. It was very clean and well furnished, with a confortable fireplace in the living room. The rooms are big, with stunning views. Sonia was very gentle, eager to discuss and/or help if needed. Breakfasts were good and different every morning. We highly recommend this place !
