“Incredible experience at Camp Shawu”

It was an incredible stay and safari experience at Camp Shawu. The room was nice and comfortable and had a safari feel to it. It was an incredible stay and safari experience at Camp Shawu. The room was nice and comfortable and had a safari feel to it. The best part of staying here is that the watering hole is right outside your room, so animals come during the day to drink. We had a few elephants come and wash, and one wandered over right up to my room. Plenty of hippos are in the watering hole, and you hear them at night. We saw four of the Big Five and even a stand-off between a buffalo and a lion (the lion had just killed a buffalo). Sifiso was our guide, and he was great—knowledgeable and friendly. I was nervous about the outdoor shower, given that it was winter, but the weather was quite warm for winter, and it was so nice to have an outdoor show and watch the hippos go about their business. The food was amazing—there was so much—and they fed you well. There is essentially a two-course breakfast and lunch, then a three-course dinner where you can choose one of two mains. Plus, there is coffee/tea before your morning game drive and afternoon tea. As Camp Shawu is located inside Kruger, you can go off-road in its designated area. If you stay outside Kruger, vehicles can only access the public roads, so staying inside the Park and going off-road was good. I would highly recommend staying inside the park. “Camp Showa Shishangeni”

We have now stayed at Camp Showa twice. We will be back, the level of service is outstanding, and the staff is excellent. The game drives cannot be described, you have to experience it for yourself. We really enjoy ourselves at Camp Showa.

“Beautiful place, no rhinos.”

Beautiful place, lots of great animals, just no rhinos. After 3 days and six drives, no rhinos . .. Lots of elephants and girafes and lions, impalas and hippos. Facilities, food, and staff were great. Talk about up close and personal ! Definetly a good stop on our continuing iteniary.
