“Peace and quiet”
Sue, the host couldn’t do enough for us. The room was very comfortable and the breakfasts were unbelievable. It was so tranquil we didn’t want to leave. We are trying to work out when we can go again.

“A serendipitous find”
A tranquil place with wonderful hosts who made us feel really welcome. The peace of the countryside was magical and being introduced to a new foal made my day. Very generous breakfast to which we couldn’t do justice.

“Friendly, peaceful overnight stop.”
After eventually finding our way to Thornton Lodge ... believe your satnav, it’s a little way out, but not as far as it seemed ... we were greeted by Sue, who showed us to our en suite room, which was warm and clean. The bedding was white and spotless ... lovely! We were immediately offered drink… more
