My room and furnishings were acceptable for my four day business stay. The room door has large gaps around it, though. This permits all hallway noise to be heard in the room. Worse, it allows all the marijuana smoke into the room. My coworker was two floors up from me and complainedbabout the same issue I had trouble sleeping because the marijuana smoke was so thick in my room. I stuck a towel under the room door, where the biggest gap was, but I had nothing to block the gaps on the top or the sides of the door. Without the marijuana smoke issue and some noise issues, I would recommend Hotel Icon to male travelers.

“Is what it is”

Stayed 3 nights was ok nothing fancy, they asked for a $100 deposit! It was clean and quiet, it’s in a good location and the guys at the desk were very helpful , price was ok for SF , no food just a vending machine,

You get what you pay for at this hotel. Reasonable price, great location, no major issues except quite a noisy area. But that is just San Francisco for you. I would recommend bringing ear plugs. Also the rooms can be uneven, and on a bit of a lean. You might need to figure out which end of the bed to sleep, is on less of a lean. Had a good stay overall.
