The Colonnade Hotel started life as two private Victorian houses in 1865 which were then converted into an all girls’ boarding school in 1880. In 1886, the building was made into a birthing hospital called The Warrington Lodge Medical and Surgery Home for Ladies. “Great History to this building!”
Welcome was warm. En-suite room which was clean and of a good size. Situated in a lovely area and lovely restaurant onsite. Room was serviced daily. Loved the history relating to Alan Turing. The restaurant was fabulous too. Great food. Great location however it does need to have some attention … more

Sunday, October 20th, 2024. Old-style hotel in need of a refurb. Booked for one night to crash, and attractive frontage in a great location but the room was subterranean with old fixtures and fittings and a poor mattress.
