Amazing location. Our room was a self contained one with a full kitchen so was great to cook meals. The beds are very soft and comfortable. We had a fireplace in our room which was lovely to use of a night. It’s walking distance to the shops and the bus shuttle to get up to the ski mountain (Heavenly). The only things I would say negative was that the room furnishings are very outdated and old but it’s still very cosy. The roof upstairs in our room was sloping so we did hit our heads a few times haha. It’s been a great stay, would definitely stay again. Waking up and looking at the lake and snow on the ground was magical.

I booked a queen room while literally driving up the mountain on a third party site last Sunday. Upon arrival, I asked if they by any chance had a king room available? She gave me a free upgrade to a condo!! We stayed in condo 127. Wow, right on the beach with an amazing view of the mountains and steps from the lake. What great customer service to upgrade me when the lodge was not full. The decor is rustic and the condo was very clean. This was just a stop over for my trip, but I'm so glad to have found this property and hope to return to enjoy it. It is a little far to walk to Stateline if you want to go to the casinos and at 0615, I couldn't find a close coffee place open (condo had full kitchen and coffee pot and coffee but since I was passing through I didn't feel like messing with it) so I drove a couple miles to go to Starbucks. Coffee in hand and a jacket on for a sunny but crisp autumn morning I took a walk down the beach-BEAUTIFUL!! I returned via the road and found there are boat rentals and little shops and restaurants. There is a CVS right next to the lodge for anything you might need. There is a breakfast restaurant called Heidi's next to the lodge. It's got a Swiss alps old school theme. We really enjoyed our breakfast in a cozy booth and the service was good. ( we went there shortly after they opened and it was already busy-by the time we checked out around 0945 there was a line to get in). Bottom line: It's not a luxury property, but if the rate is good, and you want to relax, it's a lovely place to enjoy the beauty of the lake steps from your door.

This condo is in need of serious updating. Painting of baseboards would do wonders. The site indicated it could sleep 6, which might be true, but this should state that this could never be 6 adults. This condo is in need of serious updating. Painting of baseboards would do wonders. The site indicated it could sleep 6, which might be true, but this should state that this could never be 6 adults. I have 2 boys 20 & 24 yrs old. Each 6'3"+ and one had to sleep in a tiny twin bed. It should also be mentioned that the kitchen only provided 5 glasses, limited plates and silverware, one small pot (which was not large enough to make any type of soup, etc. - so we spent $20 and donated the pot to the condo ourselves since we couldn't fly home with it), very unlevel stove burners, etc. Kitchen amenities were extremely disappointing. I made a call to the front desk with a question on day one and did not get an answer so I left a message. I'm still waiting on my call back. There's no laundry facility on site (which I should have checked on prior - my fault). They charge $7 for one stick of wood for the wood burning stove in the condo- this is ridiculous because I'm sure they buy it from the same place we did - right across the street at Safeway, where it was $9 for 6 or 7 sticks. Terrible view of basically nothing but a tree and the corners of the other buildings - should state "obstructed lake view." Housekeepers were very friendly and the only bright spot of this condo.
