“Great location and hotel”

I stayed here for one night in this centrally located hotel. It is a 10 minute or so walk from the bus station and I arrived early. I was able to check in early. I stayed here for one night in this centrally located hotel. It is a 10 minute or so walk from the bus station and I arrived early. I was able to check in early. The hotel itself is warm and aesthetically pleasing. The room was clean, tidy and had the amenities I needed. The bathroom was also clean though the shower was a little small - however the hot water and pressure was very comfortable and not an issue at all. I recommend this hotel due to its central location and clean and well kept rooms.

this is an excellent hotel. great location in the middle of the old town. good desk service too. The rooms were very clean, they were a good size, and very well designed. the rooms are quiet, and clean and i would recommend this place. good value in January too

Great experience overall. The magic is still there, but it seemed a bit less due to minor things or maybe since it was no longer a first and having other experiences. E.g. contrary to last year, the hot chocolate was made of cacao, whereby before it was made with melted chocolate (they indicated in advance though, so no surprise). Likewise for ginger tea we ordered: last year it was served with different spices on a nice tray (so you could add per your own liking), this year just an ordinary tea cup with lemon and honey on the side. It was still good, but less special. Breakfast is still great. We noticed that not each day the "a la carte menu" was proactively put on the tables. This was also the case last year, as well as this year during summer. You could still order, it is included in the price, but you would have to know it is possible and it is not called out specifically. Small a la carte menu, but worth the wait and try. One (Sunday) morning breakfast area was very crowded. Since they do not guide guests to their table after confirming your room number, it happened that we and others had to wait in the middle of the restaurant for a table to be ready. Some guests, already holding plates with food they had grabbed from the buffet, eventually were offered to be seated in the bar area. It does seem that there is sufficient staff now for breakfast, whereby last year they seemed slightly short staffed. As to the room (premium collection): great shower, but spray gets almost everthing wet. Room cleaning seems to be twice a day, but in our case first cleaning would be late morning (close to mid day). Last year this was earlier (but different floor). Sometimes they seemed to forget we were 3 guests, as only 2 clean towels would be put, had to request a pair of extra slippers, bathrobe etc. Had to request replacement tissues, as the cleaning staff had overlooked it was empty at least twice. These things never happened last year. The swimming pool is okay, but small. It helps that you can switch on a stream to swim up against it. Our child still really likes it, and other childeren too. The gym equipment is right next to the pool area, which means you will be excersizing smelling the chlorined water of the pool. One treadmill (out of two) was out of order. There is one cross trainer. It is somewhat dated but works well. While generally well maintained, it happened on a Sunday there were no clean towels anymore at the swimming pool area. The concierge eventually replaced them. He is super helpful and friendly in general. This year, the wifi connection in our room was unstable. We do not recall this being like that last year, maybe it is because we were a floor up this time. The location of this hotel is perfect for our liking. This year there was even an outdoors ice skating rink nearby. If needed, there is a small supermarket across the street (Rimi Express). Everything feels like it is within walking distance. Very friendly staff, which adds so much to the overall experience. Some friendly familiar faces, which adds to the pleasure of coming back.

Room 334, this was a suite or junior suite, not sure as we were upgraded as I have VIP status. Originally booked a "Collection Room with Balcony - Old Town View" and stated a few times that I didn't mind not being upgraded, but there was an obsession to make sure I was. I have a feeling its because the room I booked was already given away or because they wanted to keep people in certain rooms to make it easier for housekeeping. I basically was not allowed to have the room I booked! Room 334 was all fine though, large, looked out to the square, but no old town view, no balcony, at least the windows opened. Good points - Spa was good, nobody in there when we went early evening on a Monday. Hotel was clean everywhere, location was good and pleasant surroundings with designer shops and a supermarket across the street, staff friendly. Bad points - First upgraded room we were given we had to reject as there was a horrendous smell from bathroom and the room itself must be one of the most uninviting rooms Ive ever seem, a weird L shaped room. Should never be upgrading someone to this. Room we ended up in was much better but the bathroom still had a slight weird smell to it that gradually got worse. When returning to Vilnius I will probably consider other hotels first before this one as feels like there is something not quite right about it. Magical on the outside but not on the inside.
