On arrival, I was greeted by Spiros who took me to a lovely large room with a double and single bed, a large terrace and a picturesque view out to the garden. I had lovely neighbours on either side, two Hungarians (Cia) and a Romanian couple. They were very friendly and fortunately spoke English. The hotel was far enough away from the notorious strip to discourage the all-night party people, which helped for a quiet nights sleep. I had an issue with the sink in the bathroom and was immediately offered another room, but chose to stay as it wasn't a big problem for me. Although it was 'Room only', I managed to get a kettle and mug etc for essential tea in the mornings. There was a fridge, which worked fine. The staff there were all very welcoming and friendly and the bar offered very cheap (and tasty) snacks that were enough to fill you up. The lady behind the bar was very jolly and just the type you need to make conversation. I only briefly saw Spiros wife, but she was very pleasant also. Upon leaving, I unfortunately missed the bus from outside, and luckily Spiros was just passing so I asked him if he could give me a lift. He immediately said yes (Nai). Very much appreciated, and when he dropped me off he refused to take any money. Such a decent man.
