We stayed for 5 nights and received what can only be described as outstanding service and hospitality from arrival to departure. The hotel is well appointed with a stunning views whichever way you look. Our room was spacious and quite well appointed though the bathroom was becoming in need of a refresh. We had a balcony with stunning views across to Sorrento and Capri. The hotel grounds are immaculate and include an excellent swimming pool with a poolside bar and views back to Vesuvius. The hotel is a little isolated if you don’t have a car although a free shuttle is available to and from the local railway station which is only a few minutes away and from there all local attractions can be accessed fairly easily. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable stay most notable for the warmth of welcome and the outstanding approach to customer care as nothing was ever too much trouble. Thank you to the team at the hotel we would definitely return if in the area.

“Great experience and people near Naples”

Great experience near Naples! Very nice, clean and elegant hotel. We also had very good meals at their restaurant (my daughter swears that their ravioli was the best she had in Italy). Great experience near Naples! Very nice, clean and elegant hotel. We also had very good meals at their restaurant (my daughter swears that their ravioli was the best she had in Italy). But the best part were the people: Antonio, Carmen, Luciano and Thomaso. Antonio helped us arrange all the trips and made it very easy for us to go around. Thomaso, is a wonderful person with passion for music and also a trove of information. They made our stay very pleasurable by being very professional and also very warm. Hope to see them again.

The great asset of the hotel is the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, which is outstanding and a credit to the whole team. They are all unfailingly polite and nothing is too much trouble. We found the hotel mostly quiet and peaceful (there are frequent events but they don’t really disturb the hotel guests). The swimming pool is lovely and the hotel provides good quality pool towels at reception. There is a toilet at the back of the pool bar cabin but it has no signposting so we weren’t aware it was there for the first 3 days! The breakfast is very nice, and overseen by a kind gentleman. The wifi is good throughout the hotel. There were some minor issues - our room was large and comfortable but a little old-fashioned. The shower water pressure was weak. The daily room service tidied, emptied bins and made the bed but there was little evidence of cleaning. The balcony had amazing views of Vesuvius and a beautiful bay but the outside chairs were very uncomfortable - cushions would be good, as would an airer on which to dry pool towels. We couldn’t adjust the air conditioning and it was too cold for me, despite the heat outside. For us the major issue was that we felt stranded as we didn’t have a car. Although the hotel kindly provide a free transfer to the local station from 8.30-19.00, it’s impossible to see anything of the Trecase area as there are no local taxis and didn’t appear to be any buses, which was a bit of a shock to us. You can walk to a couple of restaurants and a small supermarket but the road is narrow with no pavement, very busy and didn’t feel safe. It’s also on a hill! So we were restricted to places we could reach on the train, which included Naples, Pompei and Sorrento, so not all bad! We really enjoyed the Monte Faito cable car. However we missed going for an evening stroll. Overall had a lovely stay once we settled in and accepted the limitations of where we could go, but wished we’d been fully aware before booking.
