“Colonial gem, good value”
Yes, the Monte Carlo is past its prime but it looks as if some renovation and scrubbing has occurred since the bashing reviews of a few years ago. “Sufficient for quick stop”
It's fine. Everything I needed and a short walk from a central plaza and the market. I arrived late from train station without a reservation. The room was a little too perfumed for my liking, though. Restaurant in hotel lobby seems popular but I didn't eat there.
