Overview: Simple hotel for a business trip or an affordable couple or family vacation. It's similar to a mid-range business hotel you would find anywhere in the United States. The beds are firm and the wi-fi is free and consistent. There's free laundry in the lobby and a decent breakfast buffet served daily. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The room: The room is very clean but perhaps a little rough around the edges for some people. Some rooms have a view of the futuristic skyline. Most nights it is not noisy, but there were on some occasions, people talking in the hall (as with any hotel anywhere). Did not get any business cards or late-night phone calls mentioned in other reviews. Nice shower, strong AC, hot water kettle, free water bottles. In June 2018, the photos on booking.com and agoda.com are accurate to what the room looks like. The staff: While the staff is super friendly and helpful, they are not fluent in English. For those who don't speak Chinese, getting assistance could require a little bit of effort with translation apps or tracking down the right employee. Those expecting a luxury experience with English-speaking concierge should look elsewhere. Neighborhood: This Home Inn Plus is on Zhoujiazui Lu in Hongkou District, a regular, working-class neighborhood. A fine hotel for business travelers and for tourists who want an affordably priced room away from the hustle and bustle of business and tourist areas. It's close by taxi and metro to museums, parks, and trendier neighborhoods. Given the location, you have to walk a bit to a nearby grocery store and a few local restaurants.

First of all, the water pressure is amazing! Secondly, the beds are firm. Some people may not like them, but they were exactly what I needed after a 14 hour flight. I didn't notice any movement or noises outside the room. I did get the little massage/prostitute cards slipped under my door. They make for interesting souvenirs! Collect them all! The motel supplies you with tea, electric kettle, internet, soap, toothbrush/toothpaste(2).
