“Good location, but bring ear plugs”

I am a regular at Longemalle for business purposes, but my choice of hotel is limited by the company - that's why I am still there. I am a regular at Longemalle for business purposes, but my choice of hotel is limited by the company - that's why I am still there. The location is perfect, and by itself relatively quiet, being a pedestrian zone. The hotel was nicely renovated a few years ago, and its Lebanese restaurant is amazing, especially if you can sit on its balcony. The standard rooms are very small and face the back - which has a set of noisy air conditioners out in its yard. Thus, higher floors (4-5) are best. Rooms on the sixth floor are directly under the roof, and have blinds that don't work very well - thus there will be always light. If you are close to the elevator, you will hear its motor on this floor. This is the first place where you cannot de-activate the ventilator in the bathroom, it will go on all night, and especially in a standard room, I can't sleep without ear plugs. The control panel for the ventilation is also always on, thus you may want to bring an eye cover if you are sensitive to light at night. I think they have a difficult value proposition. The location and the restaurant are a plus (the latter is often booked out, though), but they have no spa, no bath robes, no bar, small rooms, and the noise.
