The location on the river was excellent. We were welcomed by very friendly, helpful Reception staff. and handed a lovely old fashioned room key. We loved this historic hotel - with its creaky floor boards. On each floor was a coffee, tea and water station with croissants, fruit etc and a mini library - some floors had a small settee as well. We were lucky enough to be there during the autumn festival and could enjoy the loud bands marching past one evening as well as gluhwein from one of the many stalls in the daytime. The Buffet breakfast was very good and well set out. I was brought gluten free bread with a separate toaster which was clearly marked 'gluten free' - very impressive. We didn’t have dinner in the hotel because they were fully booked on our first night there and the following evening we’d already made a reservation elsewhere. We would definitely stay again.

Small shower room - L’Occitane toiletries including body lotion. No evening turn down. Tea, coffee, still and sparkling water on the landing - with plenty of cups and glasses and water carafes. Nice breakfast in the bright dining room overlooking the Rhine. Very charming friendly staff

I had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel Krafft in the heart of Basel's enchanting old city, and it was truly a delightful experience from start to finish. One of the highlights of my stay was taking leisurely strolls along the river. I was pleasantly surprised to see locals swimming in the river, it was like walking home from work - instead of walking they chose swimming, then emerged from the water and continue thier walk. It truly captures the essence of the city. The hotel itself is incredibly cozy, with warm and inviting atmosphere. The interior of the hotel is stylish and classic, with beatiful detailing that adds to its charm. I must mention stunning staircase, which truly caught my eye. The kitchen facilities in each floor were wonderful surprise as well, with tea, coffee, mineral water sourced directly from a pump. Each day the staff thoughtfuly provided biscuits, fresh fruits, and croissants for guests, making the stay more enjoyable. The staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly, always greeting guests with smile and ready to assist with any requests. I thoroughly enjoyed both breakfast and dinner outside, right next to the river at hotel's restaurant.

A wonderful surprise. Chose the hotel based on a couple of reviews I read, we needed 1 night prior to a river cruise. Location was great, staff was lovely, room was ready when we showed up at noon from the airport. Room was spacious, bed was comfortable. Easy to get around, restaurants near by… more

A wonderful surprise. Chose the hotel based on a couple of reviews I read, we needed 1 night prior to a river cruise. Location was great, staff was lovely, room was ready when we showed up at noon from the airport. Room was spacious, bed was comfortable. Easy to get around, restaurants near by and walking distance to the art museum which was excellent. The breakfast was so good, they've recently expanded the selections.
