“Choose the Schneeberger!!!”

Just spent another 4 days in the Hotel Schneeberger. This is our 3rd trip to Niederau and our 2nd stay at Schneeberger. Christian and his family always make us feel so welcome. The half board menu is excellent, and there’s a la carte options, and fondues also, to choose from on an evening. The room we had (304) was a very large double with a nice balcony and overlooked the slopes. It had a large bathroom, with bath! And the hotel is only a 5 minute walk to the ski hire shop and lifts. The Dorfstop’n pub within the hotel can be really lively and just being able to wander upstairs to the room at the end of a heavy night is great. The quiz night by Crystal Ski is always well attended and all the local amenities are all within 5 minute walk, including the bus to the other ski resorts (Auffach and Albach) If you’re looking at Niederau, the Hotel Schneeberger combines, great owners, great rooms, great food and a great location.

I was part of a large group most of whom were staying here although I was staying at a nearby hotel - we all ate dinner at this hotel and used the bar etc. What a great hotel! The family who own/run this hotel are fantastic! The food we were served (a three course meal each evening) was lovely! They coped with a group of over 50’people wonderfully - ensuring all were served in a timely manner - the food was hot and tasty! I especially loved the soup and the traditional Austria/Tyrol food! The bar was great - and the prices reasonable! The service was good and especially from the grandson of the owner - who was so welcoming and smiley!! Thanks again!

“Helpful pleasant staff”

Large spacious room and en-suite with really comfortable beds. Good to have a fridge in the room and plently of glasses to have pre dinner drinks Staff were helpful. The breakfasts were excellent and the dinner was good but needed a roll with soup. The local red wine was delicious

“small hotel with accessiblity issues ...Not a pleasant experience”

Stayed at the hotel while on a tour in a group. Complimentary Dinner was part of the deal. The dinner turned out to be a small bowl of soup and a chicken leg. Water when asked was charged 4 Euro for 700ml bottle. The restaurant is small with less staff. Breakfast was elementary and often most item… more

Stayed at the hotel while on a tour in a group. Complimentary Dinner was part of the deal. The dinner turned out to be a small bowl of soup and a chicken leg. Water when asked was charged 4 Euro for 700ml bottle. The restaurant is small with less staff. Breakfast was elementary and often most items ran out. Rooms however are good and bathrooms are clean. The view from the room is good. The most difficult part was carrying the luggage to the reception over a flight of stairs from the parking entrance.
