The Hellsten Apartment hotel is near the freeway and about 10 minute drive from a large shopping centre in Espoo, it is not centrally located. However with free car parking and only a 30 minute drive from the airport and a 20 minute drive to my office, the location worked for me. The entrance has a lot of steps, but once in check in was easy and efficient - There is some seating area available on the same floor as reception with books and a computer for printing airline tickets etc. The room itself was large, two double beds and a kitchen (Fridge, freezer, microwave, oven, hob, kettle and toaster). Room was clean and comfortable, good wifi, 24 inch TV, 4 seat table, sofa and desk and chair. As this is an apartment hotel, the rooms are not serviced each day, but at the end of your stay. I found the bed comfortable and got good night sleep, the hotel was quiet and outside is a residential area. I did make a trip to the local supermarket (About 10 minute drive and with free parking) to buy supplies so I could cook myself an evening meal, something I really enjoyed. Breakfast was included in the room rate but just had tea and toast in the room as I preferred this. I enjoyed my stay, good quality for the money (About 100 Euro's a night).

Second time visiting Hellsten Espoo. First time everything was great but this time not so much. Or were not so lucky. Second time visiting Hellsten Espoo. First time everything was great but this time not so much. Or were not so lucky. Got a room on the road side so traffic noice is a lot, especially in the evenings when trying to go to bed. Also car alarms goin off and on good 15min at 10pm.. Other guests with children very noisy between 9pm-10pm which was very annoying, running up and down the halls and screaming and yelling. Not great for us with small child whos bedtime is around 8-9pm. Good size and warm room however the pillows are a joke so tiny. Room and hotel bit outdated also showerroom sink leaking from the bottom when using.. Staff were great and friendly. Location great,about 10min walk to Sello shopping centre also had train station to city. Breakfast was great, every day bit different,very tasty! Good, basic hotel for few days not more than that.
