“Go to Azul!”

Gilberto was the best server at Azul. We had so many appetizers as well as the pad Thai and everything was delish. The Margarita here was amaziiiiing!! Great attention to detail, five out of five stars! Go try them out absolutely perfect experience.

We stayed at the Wyndham Alltra for 3 days during our 7 day trip to Cancun This was my 3rd time to Cancun. We did a split stay bc we wanted to check out another resort. The Wyndham Alltra was great. The rooms were big, view was beautiful. The building is old, but its been renovated. The beds were comfortable, bathrooms were nice. The resort is pretty small and very easy to navigate. The italian restaurant was great. We ended up going there twice. There were adequate bars, great drinks, beach bar, great service. We loved the open air lobby and lobby bar.My only complaint is the chairs are all right on top of each other at the beach. It was hard to find shade and to walk in between chairs bc they were so close to each other. The shows were fun at night and we liked that they were outside!

“So-so but doable for a long weekend”

Overall I would not go back due to some inconveniences that were deal breakers WATER BOTTLES -the resort had no water bottles the only water bottles you would have access to were the ones in your room or at the coffee shop. Overall I would not go back due to some inconveniences that were deal breakers WATER BOTTLES -the resort had no water bottles the only water bottles you would have access to were the ones in your room or at the coffee shop. All of the other areas the bar is where the restaurants only served water in a cup so you had to go out of your way every single time to either go back to your room and pick up a bottle or go to the coffee shop and ask for water bottles. and the water bottles at the coffee shop were not cold. They were all room temperature which again made it hard since you are looking for cold water due to the warm weather. Even at the pool if you ask for water, it would have been in a cup. PILLOWS -the pillows were one of the most horrific pillows I have ever slept on. My husband actually ended up getting neck pain and still has neck pain at one point we called to ask for a better pillows, but they brought us two more of the exact type of pillows, which were completely not economic or not even basic pillows. I have seen many other people complain about this and I completely understand why! FOOD Italian restaurant was really really good and I would definitely recommend going there! We went there twice and enjoyed it both times. The steakhouse was also really good, but still prefer the Italian restaurant. The buffet was so-so you just had to know what you like and then just aim for that. I suggest doing a tasting platter first then only eat that. Even for breakfast, I would only go toast some bread and ask for some fresh scrambled eggs and make a egg and cheese sandwich and some fruit. I would just keep it simple or toast some bread with some cream cheese and some fruit - that made things a lot more tolerable for me at the buffet. CABANA -$79 a day with a bottle of champagne which was worth it for us since we stayed all day long -the beach chairs are occupied immediately in the morning, except behind the lifeguard you will find some chairs sometimes! SWIM UP BAR -none BEACH -the beach is also a public beach, which is very strange to me so you will see a lot of people hanging out there trying to sell stuff and just families hanging out! It didn’t really bother us that much BUT one morning we woke up because they were 10 kids (ages 6-10) outside of our balcony (ocean view), screaming nonstop for one hour because again it was a public beach. I think it was a field trip of some sorts. We saw some of the lifeguards come and take pictures, and then the manager came and took pictures and they kept staring at them to leave because they were disrupting all of the people who had ocean front rooms, but they didn’t leave of course because it’s a public beach and it was what it was. It would be nice if those beaches coupe be private with the money that is being spend by vacationers.
