“Don't believe all thats in the negative reviews!”

2 adults, 1 child, 5 day break 29th October. All Inc. Room 124 (we didn't upgrade to Magnus or use the snack bar so I can't comment). What a lovely mini break we've just had! Some of the reviews were hit and miss, but we really did love it here. Negatives: The transfer was longer than advertised due to major roadworks near to airport. This may not always be the case though depending on which other hotels are on your transfer route. Now if you're worried about updating your socials, snapchat streak or have a teenager connected to their phone the wifi is very hit and miss. The hotel is located on a hill, but a steady walk down to the town/beach is about 20 minutes. Coming back is a lot harder - the hotel does put on a free shuttle service throughout the day. The hotel itself has a steep incline throughout between the reception/bar/restaurant/pool and rooms. I have bad knees and hips, but maybe too much for someone who uses walking aids. Very steep (and slippy tiles) for wheelchair users. The pool surrounding "can" become very slippy. The steps upto the slides are tiles and get very waterlogged and slippy. There is a handrail to hold onto so just take care - it's worth it once at the top! The mattresses in room 124 weren't amazing, but slept for the few nights we were there. Could see some staining on the (fabric) bed frame, but the linens were clean and fresh. Shower is open with a fixed glass panel. The lovely power shower does throw out lots of water, so the floor becomes like a pond so keep the hand towels provided close by. Positives: The reception was clean, tidy and welcoming. The receptionist on our arrival Veronika spoke good English and communicated all the details. We were given handouts also with all the information about the hotel food timings, bar openings, H&S information and the beach shuttle times. The route from reception to our room was clean and tidy. The white tiles made the whole area look lovely. The room was basic with 3 beds, mini fridge, hanging rail, desk area and bathroom. There is a safe in the room and costs a deposit of €5 and is €4 a day to rent. Balcony with 3 chairs, a table and a small wall attached clothes airer. Breakfast, lunch and dinner is served in the restaurant. Always staff busy cleaning and replenishing food. Chefs cooking fresh pancakes in the morning and fish/chicken in the evenings. There is your basic A/I beige foods chips/pasta etc and a range of other dishes. There was a small gluen free section at breakfast and a childrens section in the evening. Fresh breads available at each serving. Soft drinks, water and hot drinks are self service. There are machines in the dinner hall and at the bars. The splash pool, how lovely this is for the children (and adults!). 4 slides and 2 flumes. The orange one was fast! A small section of the pool was sectioned off for a landing area - this did not take too much room out of the pool. The thing we liked was that the pool itself was I believe at its deepest 130cms so for our 6 year old was perfect that she could swim around but wasn't too far off the floor if she got into difficulty. The was always at least 1 lifeguard on duty throughout the day,if not 2 and one located at the top of the slides. Please do take care walking to the slides. It can get very wet and the tiles are slippy. There is a handrail. There is a playarea set back from the pool. I would say this is better suited to younger children maybe age 4/5 max. We went for a walk off complex into the local town and the area felt safe. The hotel really exceeded expectations for attention to detail on halloween. The staff worked so hard. The food was halloween themed. Even the waiting staff got involved! Brilliant! We really did enjoy this holiday. We would return if the deal was right.

We had an excellent time as a family!! Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food had a great spread, lots of range from fresh salad, meats to the standard chips and burgers!! Rooms were well managed and cleaned daily. The pool Magnus pool and splash pool were great, the fun pool is just a pool (weird name to call a pool with no fun in it 😜). The only thing we thought was negative is the entertainment it was very basic we only enjoyed 2 out of 7 nights!! This didn’t ruin our holiday we just laughed at the lack of entertainment! We would return as we enjoyed the whole experience as a holiday!! 🥰

“Nice hotel”

This was the 2nd time we had been to this hotel. First time in 2021 and again in 2024. The hotel is in a great location about a 15 minute walk down to the strip and bars. Loads to do in the area and the beach is great. The hotel does offer a shuttle bus to and from the beach but we generally walked each day, we had a 6 year old with us and this wasn't a problem bit it is uphill on the way back. The hotel check in was quick and easy took around 10 mins. We had a magnus style suite booked when we went in 2021.....it wasn't a suite but just a bedroom, when we went in 2024 I booked a Magnus style double room and was placed in the exact same room so it does make me question what exactly I paid the extra for when we went in 2021 as we didn't get a suite it was just a room. The room was cleaned each day to a good standard and a bottle of water left most days. It was very modern and served its purpose. We found the food to be ok, we generally would go to the Magnus restaurant for breakfast but it really didn't matter what time we arrived the food was generally too cold to eat. We would then walk across to the main resturant where the food would be hot but you would really struggle to get it a table and it was just far to full to be enjoyable. Lunch and dinner food was again ok and only ever warm but was an improvement on the breakfast. There was lots of variation to suit most tastes. The snack bar Magnus side was the standard burgers, chips, pizzas etc. We spent most of our time around the Magnus pool, we always managed to get sunbeds and an umbrella but we did go out of kids holidays so I assume the hotel was far from full. Pool always had a life guard around. The hotel does not allow any floats other than tiny rings and arm bands for small children. Also no balls in the pools and this rule was heavily stuck to. We didn't really use the slide pools as it was just so so busy constantly. We found the drinks to be good, my partners mainly had beer which he said was nice and I had the cava which was also nice. Wine is poured from the bottle Magnus side but this is a slight con as we watched staff filling up the wine bottles from the taps later in the evenings so you are made to believe you are getting something slightly more premium but in actually fact it's the same tap wine. The entertainment was ok, mini disco was good for the younger kids, we didn't generally stay for the later entertainment. You do have to get a seat early for the entertainment though otherwise you end up standing up as there wasn't even enough seats not in the kids holidays. The gym is ok but very basis, bikes and some dumbbells, it did look like it was maybe about to have a refurb as some of the old equipment was outside and out of use so maybe it was due to be replaced. There was no aircon in the gym just some fans so it was very warm. The surrounding area and town and lovely and the reason we returned. The beach is very nice and lots of nice bars and restaurants in the area.
