We visited this as a last moment booking for a 3 day weekend. Most of the Familotels usually want a week long reservation. Some are also within season and therefore sold out way ahead of time. We chose the highest tier appartment (red one) just for the extra space. The whole hotel looks dated, probably was prime 15-20 years ago. It has all the amennities you may need, however, so no complaints there. Kids loved the indoor pool, albeit basic. Reception spoke basic English, but some other staff didn't. The cafe/bar had a somewhat rude older employee. Customer service is not what you get in America. The breakfast and dinner buffets were good enough for us, dinner was better. Overall, I think you get a discount if you stay longer. Wurzburg is small, but there are things to do in the area. Good for winter and summer.

Stayed at Familotel a couple of times and the last stay was in July 2018. The staff were friendly and accommodating, food was good and they have good facilities. Parking was free and it can get crowded on weekends. The refurbished rooms are clean and very comfortable to be in. Like most German hotels, the queen sized bed is actually made up of 2 single beds. The only down side is the lack of air conditioning in the room so the room can get a little stuffy. The toilets are also very big. There is a supermarket, some eateries and a bank about 5 minutes walk away. Will definitely recommend this hotel if you’re visiting Wurzbach!

I´ve stayed there for almost a month. The staff is friendly and helpful, rooms are quite old but comfortable - only the smell in my room wasn´t nice... Food in the restaurant is OK, beer and drinks are really good. I think it was cold in the rooms - temperature outside was about 12 degrees but radiator didn´t work. The biggest problem for me - too many screaming kids... But of course it´s "Familotel" so I had to get used to it :)

It's always strange to stay in a 'holiday' hotel when you're working and this is one of the most family oriented hotels I know. There will be children running around the corridors - mostly quite well-behaved children of course. Rooms are a little bleak though it's nice to sit on the balcony in the early morning. Better in summer than winter as the bedding is not enough when it's cold - the thinnest duvets in the universe. The restaurant is great value My single room plus dinner for 4 colleagues cost just 150 euros. They now have wifi though I didn't try it myself. My colleagues said it was pretty terrible.

If you want to stay in Wurzbach you will stay here because it's the only place for miles around. Surprisingly, it's a very big hotel for a very small town and you can't help but wonder why it's needed. I'm told the town is on a long distance walking route and is popular with walkers and with young families. Certainly looking at the breakfast patrons, they were young couples with babies or older couples in comfy walking shoes so that seems to be consistent. The rooms are clean but uninspired although there are some surprises. Whilst opening the wardrobe to see if there was an extra pillow or a blanket (those supplied are not generous), I discovered a mini-kitchen complete with stove, fridge and other essentials. Seemed odd to go to so much trouble when supplying such a tiny bathroom. They certainly squeeze a lot in. The pizzeria is currently closed which is not a bad thing - they take a lot of liberties with their interpretation of Italian food - but the main restaurant does a cheap and hearty meal and has a good range of beers. This place is cheap - really cheap. So much so that you may well query whether they've forgotten something when you get your bill. The staff are pleasant and friendly and for the odd night, it's rather a charming place to be. Great for families with a real kid-centred approach. Not so great for business - no free wifi.
