“Outstanding experience, spotless, quiet and comfortable with excellent breakfast”
My first impression of this property was that it is SO CLEAN. We stopped here on a road trip during the Canadian wildfires this summer, so the whole area was blanketed in smoke. I was NOT excited about staying at an EconoLodge - we were having a rough trip because of the smoke and I wanted a little… more

“Solo stay”
Room was nice and clean. Staff was super friendly. Breakfast was included and ok. I had to leave before the breakfast area was opened and they allowed me to go in and get something. I stayed when there was a snow storm and the parking area and sidewalks were salted and cleaned off.

“Wanted to like it.”
Wanted to really like this place the front staff was very good. Hair dryer did not work, a/c could not change removal or fan setting. Towels were minimal and only one per. “Convenient and unpretentious.”
Painted Post is probably not a popular destination in its own right, but the Econo Lodge is reasonably priced, quiet, conveniently located for I86 for an overnight break on the trip from NY to Canada, with friendly reception, well-maintained; basic but comfortable.
