“Much improved and better experience overall”

Ive stayed here many times over the last 20yrs. Its fair to say on my last visit i thought th hotel was in need of a refurb. The food wasnt great, the staff were run ragged and the beds were awful. The only saving grace wad the golf course. Desparate for a golf break i decided to try once more. Its been over 10yrs since the last stay. What a difference this time. The bed was comfortable, the room was spotless, the food was great. The staff were really attentive. The course was at its best. The only downside was an intermittent droning sound coming from somewhere during the night. So. Like me if youve not had a great experience in the past. Give it another try.

“Sunday Carvery”

Called into the hotel for a Bank Holiday Sunday Carvery. Great value and good service . Golf Course looked in very good condition also!

This is a golf hotel and we are golfers but chose it for its location as we were taking American friends to N Cornwall and could not play golf. This is a golf hotel and we are golfers but chose it for its location as we were taking American friends to N Cornwall and could not play golf. We were there for 3 nights and the rooms were clean, good value and the beds very comfortable. The water is very hot in the bathroom but warning signs are displayed so just take care. Our American friends are well travelled but like us commented that we were made so welcome from the first minute to the last. Everyone is keen to look after you and we really enjoyed our stay. We ate in the restaurant on 2 nights was what you might expect in a golf resort - plentiful, well cooked and good value but designed for golfers however the staff happy to respond to any requests. I suspect if you have a big golf group in the hotel at the weekend it could get very busy and noisy but that was not our experience mid week everyone was generally well behaved though a little noisy. Given its location, views and the quality of the staff our stay was very good value though I did book well in advance. I have not played the course but would and will recommend it to my golfing friends or even those that just want a comfortable base to see the sights of N Cornwall. The real jewel in the crown at the hotel are the staff and the Manager who look after you so well - many thanks to all of you! We hope to return next year to play the course.
