“nice apartments”

i stayed for one night only, but wished i would have stayed much longer. it is a boutique suites hotel, with good service. the neighbourhood is as well cpectedsuper crowded with young people and a lot of bars around.

We stayed for three nights in the ground floor apartment. The layout is really clever and makes best use of available space. We also enjoyed the long walk up the narrow staircase to enjoy our complimentary bottle of cava on the roof terrace. Barceloneta is a village within the confines of Barcelona, with its own character and style - we loved exploring the little streets and found a couple of fabulous places to eat away from the tourist areas. The Cova Furnada is a must for lunch, and La Peninsular for dinner, both no more than 2 minutes walk. Be aware that a bustling village like this can be noisy both late at night and early morning, Staying on the ground floor we were aware of it but is didn't impact our enjoyment. Note, the arrival arrangements were handled expertly by Albiol, who speaks good English (and German apparently), and was extremely helpful with tips and recommendations. Oh, and the beach is at the end of the street :). We will definitely be returning.

Stayed here over new year and enjoyed being in Barceloneta, which is conveniently close to the city centre (and the metro) and all the main sites, and of course Barcelona's superb beaches. Albiol is an interesting man who probably prefers his philosophy to his tourist duties, but is most helpful & obliging. Not Staying on the ground floor helps avoid some of the normal neighbourhood noise, but this minor aspect is outweighed anyway by the proximity to some great restaurants & sites.

The apartment was nice, lovely floors and ceiling. VERY nice kitchen. Loved the balcony. If you have ANY handicapped or problems climbing stairs this is not the place for you. VERY narrow stairs.
