I booked this hotel for the great price and was pleasantly surprised by how very nice it was. While the lobby area is a bit old fashioned, probably to protect it's historic landmark status, the rooms are newly appointed, comfortable, and clean. There were nice touches, like travel-size toiletriesThe location is walking distance from downtown shopping areas and sites, convenient to the train terminal and the cruise terminal. Complimentary coffee is available in the lobby at all times, and the breakfast was very good.

“Great stay within walk of all the major sites”

This is a well positioned and comfortable hotel! The breakfast was fantastic and once it is over the room is left open for coffee, tea, snacks and water. Our bed was comfy and the shower was large. Most of all from desk was very helpful with navigating the train strike for us!

“Good option for a city hotel”

Located very close to the city centre, is a good option to spend some nights while in Trieste. Breakfast is good as well, and staff is polite. The only problem is the thin walls because you can hear everything that happens in the neighboring rooms. Would stay again

Very well located, clean, obliging staff — enough positives to recommend this hotel on the edge of central Trieste (a true 15-minute city). But do book one of the "luxury" first floor rooms. They're a bit dearer but much nicer. The rest of the hotel is very, very plain, a touch of the convent! I asked to be moved as the paper thin walls on fourth floor meant that the guest next door having a long phone conversation at 12.30am destroyed my sleep that night. Their much-boasted buffet breakfast is indeed very good, with fresh fruit salad (if you get there early enough), delicious croissants of all flavours, cold cuts and good coffee. Harry's Bar across the road is super. Just avoid the rest-room.
