“Ask for a refurbished room”

We had read the reviews of the hotel bring under construction so we asked for a room in the refurbished section. We had to pay about $28 more, but was worth it. We had read the reviews of the hotel bring under construction so we asked for a room in the refurbished section. We had to pay about $28 more, but was worth it. The newer rooms are small but nicely decorated. Very clean. We got a room that faced the courtyard, so it was reasonably quiet. Cuba Street is filled with bars and restaurants, so a room facing that street might be noisy. We recommend Loretta’s for breakfast. Very close to the hotel.

The room is small but has everything you need and the bed is super comfy. The area is quiet, there is virtually no street noise. The room is small but has everything you need and the bed is super comfy. The area is quiet, there is virtually no street noise. The location could not be more convenient, you are in the heart of the trendy city area with lots of bars, cafes and restaurants catering to all tastes. The staff are friendly and very helpful. I left my phone in the hotel by accident on my way to the airport, and they kindly couriered it to my next location. Utsa the manager in particular I must commend for her professionalism and willingness to go the extra mile.

The C Hotel has lots of good points: great location, great staff, a pool, really comfy beds and good amenities, however the newly decorated rooms are, well, strange. The C Hotel has lots of good points: great location, great staff, a pool, really comfy beds and good amenities, however the newly decorated rooms are, well, strange. The tartan carpet and ceiling work, but unless your idea of a great headboard is something that looks like a row of badly upholstered ironing boards, then you had better study the pictures carefully. We had a refurbished deluxe twin which was a decent size and had a nice big bathroom. The view was of the bedrooms in the building beside us. With the windows closed there was very little street noise, the soundproofing between the rooms is fantastic and I heard very little hallway noise. The cost (NZ $139) is extremely reasonable and you can’t beat the Cuba Street location so I would recommend the C Hotel - in spite of the odd decor.
