I was first checked in my Alison, the Head Receptionist and she is attentive and wonderfully welcoming. I was shown to my bedroom and given all the information that I needed to know. After I had checked in, I went back into the hotel and went through to supper, wow, the food, and the ambience is out of this world. I had arancini with parsnip puree followed by the belly of pork, you can tell that the chefs, led by the Head Chef Darren at The Lugger care about every plate that they send out. Truly exquisite food to suit everyone's tastes. The wait team in the Lugger at Supper, through my stay were Sarah the Restaurant Manager, and two lovely waiters.. Evie and Dan. Breakfast was headed up by the very friendly Debbie, she is a true asset to the Lugger Restaurant. Thank you to Mel and to his team, for a fabulous stay, I hope to return again very soon.

“TERRIFIC BREAK”

The welcome from Alison on reception was incredible. She obviously loves her job and this shows in the way she engages with guests. She showed us to our room and provided us with all the information we needed to make the most of our two evenings at The Lugger. The same can also be said of the waiting staff. They always greeted us with a smile, were extremely attentive but not intrusive. The food was amazing! Such a wonderful choice of continental and/or cooked breakfast which was cooked to perfection. Likewise dinner. On the first evening I had a salmon starter which could have been a main in itself followed by featherblade steak which just melted in the mouth! It was wet and windy during our stay and our room was across from the main hotel on the opposite side of the slipway. Very atmospheric with the rain lashing the windows and the waves battering the walls but the room was cosy and the fruit, biscuits and hospitality tray a lovely thought. All in all a fabulous break for us but be aware you will have to navigate narrow lanes if you wish to eat out elsewhere in the evening.

Absolutely fantastic stay yet again. This was our 4th stay in the last 3 years and the hotel is still one of the friendliest, cleanest and nicest I've stayed at. Absolutely fantastic stay yet again. This was our 4th stay in the last 3 years and the hotel is still one of the friendliest, cleanest and nicest I've stayed at. The staff are on hand to help out with all your needs and the restaurant serves some of the best food I've had. Thank you again for having us and we are looking forward to our next trip down this year 😀

“An amazing place pieds dans l’eau.”

Unbelievable place. My wife and I were here 10 years ago and so happy to be back. We found new amazing and comfortable room more or less in the sea. Delicious dinner in the beautiful restaurant and perfect value for money. Hope to return in a near future.
