Luxury for the minimalist; I hope this hotel and restaurant will stay a secret even so they cater large events and gatherings. Local businesses put up their visitors and employees there; and the Hotel and Restaurant never disappoint. I stayed here during a 2 week unplanned stay to settle my German mother's estate. The employees went out of their way to make me feel comfortable; even let me stay there during the Christmas Holiday while they were away and the restaurant was closed. The breakfast was something I would find in a 5-star hotel in the US; nothing but the freshest, plentiful and lots of choices. They even put a small fridge in my room because of the longer stay I required. It was clean and comfortable. I never slept better on their mattress and wished I could sleep this good all the time at home. Trust me I've stayed in mega hotels in Las Vegas and this was perfect; not glitzy or glamorous but perfect for a good price. Thank you for being so kind to me.

We only stayed there for one night, but I could have easily stayed longer. The room was not heated and the window was open when we arrived, so obviously it was quite cold in there in March with only 5°C outside, which was the only downside of the place. But the bed was comfy, the shower warm (2nd floor) and the free wifi working, so nothing to complain about. I was amazed by their breakfast. So all in all I can definitely recommend this hotel :)

In the centre of the village of Wangen, not difficult to find, and has its own car park. If you have a large vehicle, choose your space carefully - if the car park is full it can be difficult to get out in the morning. Reception was friendly and efficient. Room was comfortable and reasonably well equipped. My room was at the front, and with the window open was noisy from traffic outside. Weather was cool, so the window was closed overnight, making a big difference, and once the shutters were closed, it was very quiet. Noise could be a problem in hot weather - with the window open. Breakfast was a good cold buffet. Range of bread, cold meat, cheese, fish, fruit, cereal, etc. I also used the restaurant in the evening, which was very nice.
