We loved this hotel. It feels like someone’s home. The public rooms have a fabulous art collection as do all the hallways. The rooms are lovely and the staff could not have been warmer or more helpful. We had a balcony with a spectacular view of Mt. Fuji. They also had a washing machine and dryer which we were able to use. The french dinner in the hotel was delicious.

This is a very unique hotel with a lot of charm. The rooms are comfortable and the location up the hill away from the main road ensures a quiet stay and great views of Fujisan. This is a very unique hotel with a lot of charm. The rooms are comfortable and the location up the hill away from the main road ensures a quiet stay and great views of Fujisan. The breakfast was the best we had in Japan. The best part of this place is the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. One night, when we asked for a taxi, the restaurant we were going to was close to the station, so they offered to take us there in the hotel’s shuttle…so kind! Highly recommended!

I really enjoyed my 3-night stay here. My room had a view aimed at Mt Fuji (of course, it needs to be clear weather !) but you could also see the mountain from various vantage points elsewhere in the hotel, including the rooftop bar and sitting areas (7th floor). The entire first floor, including bar and sitting areas, is decorated spectacularly with art, bookshelves, and nice furniture. It is very pleasant to hang out in these areas. There are free coffee and small snacks in the AM. Breakfasts were a wonderful experience -- good tastes and presentation. I took some walks around the lake. I mostly ate at the restaurant just down the hill (Konami), which did the job, but the hotel offers a dinner also (not cheap, but the breakfasts were so awesome I'm sure the dinners are worth it.). Mt Fuji was only visible one day of the three, so I recommend the longer stay. You'll be comfortable and occupied.

This hotel is the full package. If you really want to stay somewhere that is unique, very comfortable, has an awesome onsen with a full view of Mt Fuji and a roof top bar also with My Fuji views and more then stay here. We loved the hotel and the staff were extremely helpful and provide excellent advice on where to have lunch or dinner. If I was to stay in Fuji five lakes again, this is the only place I would stay.
