Excellent hotel in a quiet neighborhood close enough to the center. Staff is always willing to accommodate all requests, the rooms are very clean and spacious although overly heated. The breakfast is quite expensive but there is a good cafe where locals go for breakfast on the opposite side of the street. I would definitely recommend.

Really nice hotel and since I had an afternoon flight with a very welcome Midday checkout. I booked a standard room but it was as nice as the exec rooms I have had elsewhere. I particularly like that they give you a proper wardrobe with shelves and draws as well as hanging space so that you can unpack properly. I found many rooms on my trip around Europe were geared towards a very short stay with perhaps a carry- on only and nowhere to unpack. This led to me falling over my suitcase and stubbing my toe on it a couple of times as I had no choice but to leave it open on the floor and live out of it. None of that with the Melia. I hadn't used Melia for a while as simply "out of sight out of mind" but I resolve to do so more often going forward. My one caveat was that I thought the restaurant was "big on price but short on portion size" so I ate out the second and third days.

We interrailed round Europe for three weeks on our honeymoon and this was the nicest hotel we stayed in on the whole trip. From the second we walked in the door it felt like a luxury experience, and the staff made us feel like nothing was too much trouble. They booked us a taxi, gave us recommendations, and left a honeymoon gift in our room of prosecco and chocolate. The room was gorgeous too. We stayed in a Junior Suite with Terrace. It was beautifully decorated, spacious and so comfortable. The bathroom was amazing and had lovely toiletries. We enjoyed having a drink at night on our balcony under the stars. We didn't eat in the restaurant in the evenings but we did have a drink one night and tiramisu. The tiramisu was absolutely delicious. We also had breakfast on two mornings and loved the selection. Lots of sweet and savoury options, with more traditional Italian items amongst the typical continental and cooked breakfast items. It was a little out of the centre and we would have liked to have been closer to the sea but it was easy to find your way around. There was also a supermarket across the road which was handy. Overall we couldn't recommend this hotel highly enough!

This is a gorgeous hotel with pristinely clean rooms that fully blackout to make for great sleep. The above mentioned would be the second best thing about this hotel. The service here is incredible. Both Gianluca and Lorenzo specifically and their supporting staff two gentleman who helped me with my car were incredible. I had issues that were none of there problems at all. This team went out of there way to make sure I was able to handle these issues and they never appeared to feel inconvenienced. This takes a special group of people. When I return to Genoa this hotel is the only option I would consider.
