“Great stopover but we could have stayed longer.”
Rather than staying near the motorway we decided to go to Tavers and stay at the Tonnellerie, we were not disappointed. Comfortable bed and peaceful night (room overlooking the garden). “Wonderful hotel”
Lovely little hotel tucked away. Quintessentially French boutique hotel with fantastic food and wine with a lovely swimming pool set in tranquil landscaped gardens. We stayed here as a stopover with our family of four and it was a Perfect start to the holiday. Friendly welcome from the hosts.

“Lovely little hotel”
Really enjoyable stay at La Tonnellerie. Room was spacious and spotlessly clean. Lovely large and comfy bed. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Dinner was superb - excellent quality and cooked and presented very nicely.

“A Special Place to stay ”
La Tonnellerie is a very special place to stay. It is not modern and "smart" but, instead, has charm, warmth and character. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide range of breads, pastries, meats, cheeses, and house-made jams and yoghurts.. We received a warm welcome and very pleasant service… more

“Perfect stopover!”
Ideally placed for a stopover driving south in France. Well furnished garden room, and acceptable set menu in the evening, and a very good breakfast. Lots of English spoken by staff when needed. Also close to Loire chateaus and Beaugency with good restaurants.
