Having stayed at the Ibis chain of hotels in many countries, we found this Ibis to be one of the best. The room was a little larger than normal with the bathroom well appointed. Thoroughly very clean with a comfortable bed and good linen. The breakfast was good with a variety of cereals, juices, yoghurt, breads and meats etc to choose from. Reception was efficient and welcoming and happy to assist with any questions. The location makes for an easy walk into the old Town area. Well worth a stay!

“Very dog friendly”

Modern, good sized rooms. We had 2 dogs and were on the 1st floor. Large park, with a fully enclosed dog area, directly opposite the hotel. Good underground parking. Loads of cafes, restaurants and bars within 5 mins walk. Bar area dog friendly too.

ibis Salamanca is very well positioned near the train station of Salamanca-La Alamedilla, and 15 minutes walk from the main railway station. It is also close to the city center (5 minutes walk from Plaza Mayor) and most tourist destinations can be reached on foot. The hotel faces on a park (Parque Huerta de los Jesuitas) and the area is very quiet. I had a very good room with a comfortable bed on the hotel front. The room was quiet, and there was almost no noise from the street, even with the window open. Air conditioning was noisy, and it was not yet turned on centrally, but I managed very well with the window open. The bathroom was good, with a large shower space. Wi-fi was very good, staff were helpful and friendly, and breakfast was good, with several choices available and extended operating hours. All things considered, an excellent choice for my vacation!

I’ve used this hotel three time as a stop over when travelling to and from the Algarve/France. Every time we have visited the service has been excellent when dealing with the staff, who are very attentive and friendly. The Hotel is Pet friendly and has an undergraound private garage which is perfect, specially if you have a car full of luggage and don’t want to leave it to be broken into in a public parking area. The location of the hotel is great if you hav a dog with you, as the public park oppositeis is lovely and a great place to walk and relax after a long drive. Also a small walk down to the one of the town squares brings you into an area with restaurants. The rooms are minimalist, maybe a bit small but very good and clean. The quality is relative to the price and as expected. The only thing worth noting was the lack of drink facilty in the rooms, tea/coffee, or glass/paper cups to have a drink of water during the night. Breakfast was good quality although basic. Overall a good place to stay in Salamanca if you are on a stop over, and/or with a pet.
