Stayed 4 nights on the Leger New Year tour of Switzerland. Rooms were very comfortable with a fridge and safe. (No kettle and the room directory states that the use of private kettle is not allowed) Smallish bathroom with a lovely modern shower. We were allocated a room on the street side but didn't experience any noise. Bar area is a little small with limited lounge area although there is an outside terrace with a log fire and blankets etc. Sadly due to complaints about smoke from the fire this was only available on our first night. Food was excellent although small portions but they came round and offered second helpings if required. New year entertainment for the gala meal was a decent trio although largely suited to the Swiss and German guests they did try to cater for English tastes as well but all in all it was a nice evening. Special thanks to Maggie who works in the bar and restaurant. She worked tirelessly and always with a friendly smile. Such a joy to be served by someone who obviously enjoys her job. Bar prices were probably average for a hotel. (Around £5-30 for a pint of local beer)

was a good room with a nice view over the street scape into the mountains, was a bit nosiey but nothing i would complain about. if offered take a rear room. nice bed and room, hot water was hot!. had dinner at their restaurant and almost died at the prices!! i converted back to aussie dollars. it w… more

was a good room with a nice view over the street scape into the mountains, was a bit nosiey but nothing i would complain about. if offered take a rear room. nice bed and room, hot water was hot!. had dinner at their restaurant and almost died at the prices!! i converted back to aussie dollars. it was a good meal though, beer was cold and staff were most helpful and assisting on the menu. Breaksfast was great too. i would stay here again and hope the aussie dollar is up!. the will accept euro in notes only.

“Lovely Hotel”

I loved staying in this hotel. Top class in all respects. Clean,nice and comfortable. Great service, nice breakfast. I give 5 stars. The location is in a quiet place. View from the window is spectacular.

I stayed at the Hotel Krone for a week along with some colleagues. All staff were extremely friendly and welcoming and all spoke English, as well as their native language. Spotlessly clean and well equipped rooms with everything to hand. I would stay here again if I was in the area. My room faced the rear of the hotel, but had a covered balcony with a view of the river and (like everywhere in Sarnen) the mountains. A well equipped wet room was a nice touch.
