“GREAT VENUE FOR A CONFERENCE, BANQUET, MEETINGS!!!”

The Canadian Stuttering Association (CSA) and L’Association bégaiement communication (ABC) hosted a Joint Annual Conference with nearly 150 attendees at the beautiful Le Nouvel Hotel Nov. 8-10. The event was a HUGE SUCCESS! Right from the planning stages of the conference at Le Nouvel Hotel, we knew we were working with a top-notch team and in particular Director of Sales & Marketing, Wissam Ibrahim, and OTS Food Services Director, Salvatore Losciuto, with our main OTS contact Franca Spina, all of whom did everything possible to help us make this Conference the success it was! On-site, we worked with a super efficient team managing the food, meeting room and A/V services, under the direction of Franca Spina. We are super grateful to Franca and our on-site team leader and main contact Brian Pajarillo (also of OTS), who ensured that every request and question was addressed in a timely fashion. He has a great team and we are particularly grateful to Brian’s team member, Nivesh Dagah, who was present with us much of the time and acted on Brian’s direction immediately and also checked in with us regularly to be sure everything was running smoothly! The venue itself is wonderful for conferences and meetings! We had 6 sessions per hour in 6 different meeting rooms with some space change requirements (e.g. opening and closing partitions in expandable rooms) and varying A/V requirements per room. All meeting rooms were on the same floor in their own space surrounded by hallways suitable for break refreshments, registration and merchandise tables, etc. EXCELLENT space and comfortable rooms of varying sizes. Very professional and accommodating. And then there was the FOOD!!! SUPERB! Excellent menus and food throughout the entire conference! We offered our attendees hot breakfast and lunch buffets and refreshments twice a day. Everything was freshly prepared at Novella Ristorante, including desserts! And the Saturday night sit-down banquet food was delicious with the best-ever dessert that everyone raved about! Personally, I loved the Salmon with tarragon sauce – cooked to perfection and delicious. AND I must mention one of the highlights of the restaurant was the very charming and efficient server, Gavino! Our conference attendees were warmly received by hotel reservations and staff, Barbara, Nohove, Luis and Lucie, some of whom went out of their way to accommodate special needs, making our attendees feel welcome and at home. Each hotel guest room is spacious, clean, with comfortable beds, hot water in a spacious rain shower, and no carpets (dust free!) and the elevators were always speedy and readily available.
