I am really please we chose this hotel.This was our experience as two adults and two teens. Front desk staff were so polite. I recieved several texts during our stay making sure everything was good. The lobby is small (but if that is important to you-feel free to pay more somewhere else). First thing that comes to mind is LOCATION- minutes walk to PENN Station, Madison Sq Gardens, Macys, lots of small restaurants of every type around, subway stops are close. Breakfast was nice, and they rotated items thru our stay, such as olmelets, or scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage, french toast, yogurts, fruit, breads, waffles, cereals, etc.. The beds were comfy, super clean and nice big pillows. Housekeeping was every other day, but if you need something they will send it up. There is a small closet for hanging coats and such. We had 4 roll on bags, and had enough space, open bag as needed and closing when not needed. If you are the type that uses lots of luggage and do not close the bag during the day, you will be challenged for floor space. There is a small desk and chair with coffee maker. We had a room on 14th floor facing the street. There were no noise problems. But you can request side or back rooms. Our heat/AC worked fine and we adjusted as needed. Bathrooms are very clean, modern, fair sized, and basic. They have shampoo, lotion, conditioner. Plenty of towels were provided. New York hotels are expensive,and you can spend more for lots of fancy amenities at other hotels- this was a great value, and what we saved we spent on doing activities.

“Hotel Served It’s Purpose”

We came to NYC knowing we would be out 95% of the time. We only stayed in our hotel room to rest or sleep and for that, the hotel served its purpose. We came to NYC knowing we would be out 95% of the time. We only stayed in our hotel room to rest or sleep and for that, the hotel served its purpose. It was a small room, but again, we were just in the room to sleep, so it wasn’t a big deal to us. Every staff member we can across was very nice, especially Nik. We only used the breakfast once during our 4 night stay because I felt the heat didn’t work, so it was so cold when it should be a warm cozy setting.

“Not as good as 10 years ago”

The hotel had apparently been updated since I had last visited. Rooms really small 2 people sharing not enough room in the wardrobe to hang clothes, No storage space. Breakfast crowded. If you like scrambled egg you will be fine as that's every morning. Plastic knives and forks not the best to b… more

If you like scrambled egg you will be fine as that's every morning. Plastic knives and forks not the best to butter toast or cut toast. Milk was vanilla flavoured Tip take your own kettle if you want to make tea In your room Good point about hotel, comfy bed, tv if you wanted to watch after a day of walking, it was a good base ready for your days outing near to MSG. Some hotel staff were good helping with directions before you set off for the day. Unfortunately I wouldn't stay here again

I’ve at many Hampton Inns. This one was probably the most undesirable. The good…. The front staff were all very nice. Hotel is very close to MSG and many restaurants. The bad…. The rooms need updating and they are very small. We tried to get breakfast twice one morning and it was always very crowd… more

I’ve at many Hampton Inns. This one was probably the most undesirable. The good…. The front staff were all very nice. Hotel is very close to MSG and many restaurants. The bad…. The rooms need updating and they are very small. We tried to get breakfast twice one morning and it was always very crowded. Seems the space is way too small for the amount of guests. We went around the corner to a great bagel shop. I won’t stay here again since there are so many others.
