The good: - great location in Insadong - gym was well-equipped The bad: - I booked a suite at this pool in part because it seemed a reasonable price for a hotel with an indoor pool. On actually going to the pool, I was disappointed that the pool looks and feels dank, dark and not clean. There was a gross "ring" along the waterline of the pool. The shower area prior to entering the pool looks and feels old and not well-maintained. I used the pool once and did not return. - We had a three bedroom suite. It looks and feels old and run down. The rooms could definitely use a refresh if it aspires to be a four-star hotel. Our couch had several rips and slashes in it. The bed in the main bedroom sagged in the corner. Carpeting was tired and felt kind of gross. It was just not that pleasant to hang out in the suite. - The in-room amenities are few or non-existent. You should expect to BYOB on things like coffee and soap. There is no coffee machine, although there is an electric kettle. No intro pack of instant coffee or tea or sugar. There is shower gel/shampoo/conditioner in the showers, but no soap. If you are staying long-term, you could buy your own at one of the many stores in the area, but if you are only staying for a few days, it is an inconvenience. - The drying cycle on the combo washer/dryer took forever and still didn't really dry our clothes. Overall, it is serviceable, and might make sense if you have young kids and want a suite. It does not feel like a four-star hotel, and the pricing is less attractive in that light. I will stay elsewhere next time I am in Seoul.
