We visit Blackpool regularly and we almost Always stay at this hotel. It’s definitely our favourite. We had noticed a few negative reviews recently and decided to try somewhere else. However we ended up coming here in the end and found that we still found the service to be every bit as good as it had previously been and we were annoyed at ourselves for not booking it again in the first place. (We were previously put off by buffet breakfast at Helter Skelter, everything was mushy and luke warm, staff were friendly, but we avoided that on this stay). Upon arrival checking in staff were friendly and helpful. Our family room was spacious, fresh and clean, same as it Always is. Lots of fresh white towels and clean fresh bed sheets. We love the rooms. There is a kettle and a hospitality tray in the room with a good selection and quality coffee. And Starbucks is also available in the reception area as they have a tearoom in the hotel which I highly recommend a visit to. Staff are excellent. The swimming pools are fantastic, indoor and outdoor, both heated, jacuzzi area and hot tub, steam room and sauna. Large changing rooms, though lockers are a little tricky I think the batteries need renewed in quite a few. You’re supplied with a fresh towel at reception. There is a laundry basket to leave towel when you’re done, fantastic showering area and a dryer for your costume. Staff are excellent down here. When we travel with no kids we enjoy the gym too, it’s excellent, lots of choice of equipment and lots of help available if required, very spacious and gym classes available. There is also a golf course that my husband enjoys from time to time and the bar area is great. The food is good quality and well presented. It’s generally tidy but could be better at times things get half wiped and can be a bit sticky. Toilets are clean and tidy in this area though. Bar service can be a bit slow, they’d probably benefit from an app ordering service to speed things up and streamline orders (though you can place an order beforehand on-line I believe and room service too through the rewards app but if it worked more like wetherspoons app it would be better in my opinion and more people would probably use it). They sometimes seem busy splitting themselves between bar and food orders. Maybe waiting staff taking orders at tables would help to keep the queuing down at the bar on busy nights. It gets busy sometimes for football etc but it’s a great atmosphere. The staff are all friendly and well dressed in uniformity, it looks good, but they need someone giving direction. The drink is a little pricey though like most hotels but food is good, fresh and good quality. We generally Always enjoy our stay and housekeeping staff are always friendly and helpful. There is a box to post your room key for quick checkout. On the whole, we still give it 4.5 stars there’s a little room for improvement. But 5 stars for the rooms and our stay in general.

The rooms were spotless clean, I would ignore or take with a pinch some of the room are dirty ones. The only issue we had with our room was no lock working on the bathroom door but wasn't a biggie. Parking is great, bar is good also. The breakfast however is really not worth paying for, I have never known a buffet not provide fried eggs or even boiled. The bacon I could use as boomerangs, they were really dark colour and really let them down, presentation is everything and this was really poor and not even cheap breakfast.

“Decent hotel but gym too busy! ”

The hotel is decent & plenty if parking but as someone who likes to go to a gym in a hotel it was very busy & had an air of members & staff being irritated that hotel residents were using the facilities. The hotel is decent & plenty if parking but as someone who likes to go to a gym in a hotel it was very busy & had an air of members & staff being irritated that hotel residents were using the facilities. Despite having 2 pools, one inside & one outside, the pool was so busy it was near on impossible to have a swim with people even just standing in the way of those trying to swim just talking. Once again they seemed to be members of the gym. I'd stay again but I think the gym is way oversubscribed to accommodate both members & hotel residents.
