Lidra is a small family hotel with an unforgettable home atmosphere. It is located very conveniently just few kilometers to the high way to Athena between villages Korinos and Paralia. The hotel is a real front-beach one – no crossing of some roads to the beach. The beach is endless and the sand is very fine without pebbles. Check its location on the maps. It happens that the private beach of the hotel (organized beach) is very quiet and somehow separated from the over-crowed nearest beaches. Between the beach and the hotel a grass wonderful area is maintained, where you will enjoy your breakfast, lunch, etc. The hotel services and food were excellent. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and the staff is very kind and helpful. Just to mention spacious yard – for example you will park under shadow grape trees. If you on a car there are several places you should visit – the impressive Olympus mountain is just 27 km away (ideal roads), archaeological Dion site of Olympus Gods. To get to Olympus mountain from Lidra hotel you should return on the high way direction to Athena. You could go via Korynos or Paralia – Lidra hotel is between them. The road via Paralia is better in my opinion. Entering the high-way pass the first exit to Dion and turn right at the next one to Litochoro (Dion also). Follow the road signs to Litochoro and Olympos. Your terminal point (accessible by car) is Prionia refuge – for interested the coordinates are 40°05'04.3" N 22°24'24.7" E (40.084519, 22.406865). The road from Lithochoro to Dion is not recommended. Better return back on the high-way direction Thessaloniki and get the exit to Dion. To explore the entire Dion site you should plan more than several hours. Entering Dion village and following brown historical signs don’t miss the one pointing at right to Dion archaeological site. Other way you will arrive at the historical museum (there is a unique mosaic you must see. Ask for fantastic video at the gallery opposite to the museum.). From the museum to Dion site is about 1 – 1.5 km. Recommended for families - spacious playground, grass area, front-sea appropriate for small children.
