“Breakfast was disappointing”

We spent just one night in this 3 star hotel. It was in a convenient location not far from shops and railway station. Check-in was efficient and friendly. Our double room was clean, spacious and well equipped which included fridge, flat screen TV, safe, coffee machine and hairdryer. No aircon, but a standalone device is provided. In our room the ensuite was a shower in bath configuration, however the sides of the bath were quite high which could cause problems for those with mobility issues. On the positive side, there were lots of bathroom extras. The bed was firm but comfortable. Good free wifi. What let it down for us was breakfast. We arrived at 0800 (right in middle of its opening time). A small standard self service buffet was provided, but some of the menu choices had not been replaced, for example the scrambled eggs and croissants. They were replenished on request. Additionally and uncharacteristic for Switzerland, many tables had not been cleared so it felt very untidy and unwelcoming. The place was not that busy and the waitress was wandering around not doing her job in our opinion and consequently let the whole hotel down (breakfast normally being the last activity a guest does). Generally, the hotel place seemed biased towards the business traveller. Whilst it was adequate for a 3 star and a one night stop, we would not stay again.
