We felt safe in this area, walking to and from the metro at Catete. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The lifts worked well. The wifi was very good. The staff were very helpful. We felt safe in this area, walking to and from the metro at Catete. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The lifts worked well. The wifi was very good. The staff were very helpful. Most of all, there is a terrific view from the front to Sugar Loaf and Guanabara Bay. The football pitches in Flamengo Park between the hotel and the sea seemed to be in use 24/7. Some people felt it was a bit noisy at the front of the hotel but with earplugs we didn't notice it at all and the view was definitely a must.

I stayed at this hotel during the Rio 2016 Olympics, a friendly family run hotel old and a little jaded but clean and welcoming, situated in a very good location, only four stops away on the metro to Copacabana ! I stayed at this hotel during the Rio 2016 Olympics, a friendly family run hotel old and a little jaded but clean and welcoming, situated in a very good location, only four stops away on the metro to Copacabana ! Serving a well appointed buffet breakfast with wonderful fresh fruit on offer each day and the coffee was good ! Ask for a room on floors near the top of the hotel for a fabulous view of Guanabara Bay and Sugar Loaf Mountain, a little noisy at night time particularly at weekends, take ear plus with you !

Just average, really The hotel is very clean but unimpressive. The view, however, is amazing, especially for those rooms facing the Guanabara Bay. Staff is friendly but the hotel could indeed be more confortable. Internet is alright. Rooms are spacious, bed is ok. Breakfast is reasonable. A little noisy for my likeing...the street in front is very busy.
