Well I stayed here for the first time with my Mum. The manager met everyone when they arrived from the Airport a lovely touch.. While staying for the week i was presently surprised by the excellent services the staff were so so helpful with always a smile. Coco Reef may have its faults but take what is and you will have a wonderful experience. Will be back.

This is a honest review we stayed for two weeks the hotel itself is in a perfect location most of the staff were friendly particularly the general manager events manager and the two young men that came around and took your drink order on the beach most of the breakfast staff were very friendly but there were a couple that were very impolite in my option this hotel needs restoring to it's former glory although our room was fine the bathroom really needs an update the private beach and very calm waters were absolutely lovely the pool area was very uninviting the beds were quite dirty my room overlooked the pool I didn't see any cleaning of the this area in two weeks to sum up my stay it was very enjoyable if I were to come back to Tobago I would stay here again it just needs a little bit of tlc if you want entertainment at night this isn't the place it is very quiet at night

Sitting eating breakfast on open air terrace looking out over the blue Caribbean Sea is magical. Adjourning to sun beds on a private beach under palm trees and swimming in an enclosed lagoon adds to the allure of Coco Reef. Location is great, barely 5 mins from the airport. There are a few issues with this privately owned hotel: The food, whilst good on average, ranges from delicious to inedible. Breakfast is the best meal. The ambiance of the restaurants is fantastic, however. The services in the hotel, plumbing and electricity, are a bit hit and miss. Bring three pin US plug adaptors and a multi charger for your devices. Wifi is good with Unifi hotspots in each room. The pool water looks clean but there is algae forming on the grout lines and quite a few mosiac tiles are missing. Could do with a good clean. The towels are small and limiting. Whilst the beach and lagoon are very relaxing and the beach waiters bring a regular supply of cocktails and water, the best part of our Tobagan holiday was the flora and wildlife. We did guided tours with three different guides: Hans Phillips, Peter Cox (Chopsy) and Kelton Thomas. These were all great trips but for different reasons. Tobago is a wonderfully friendly island and if you embrace it, you will love it.
