“Fantastic stay”

Fantastic stay, all staff were polite, nice clean comfortable room, super breakfast and lovely surrounding grounds. The bar prices were a little expensive even for a hotel, but we had a nice sofa to sit on so didn’t mind too much. Look forward to returning again.

“Calories??”

The hotel room was ok however the food odd! Two menus served in the same place; some dishes on both menus but different calorie values? How can the same fish and chips be 322 cal and 973 cal; other inconsistencies too? So confusing; please get some consistency!

We have stayed at this hotel three or four times before, and our previous experiences have been excellent. Unfortunately, this time, we found our stay to be below par. While the rooms, pool, and bar area were still good, the restaurant did not meet our expectations. It felt as though the staff were putting in minimal effort, particularly during breakfast on our first morning, as they seemed to avoid our table completely. The restaurant was freezing, and we all had to wear coats and sweaters. We also noticed a fly issue, see photo. On the second morning, my 91 and 92-year-old grandparents requested porridge, similar to what they had the day before, but unfortunately, the staff refused. Sam at the bar was excellent, and he went above and beyond to make our stay more enjoyable. An unruly guest was making prank calls to rooms using the hotel intercom, disturbing other guests. This continued until the early hours of the morning. The people at the table next to us during breakfast mentioned that it happened to them as well.
