“Disappointing service”

The resort has beautiful facilities and grounds. A bountiful of places to sit and relax while taking in the views of the vineyards. We had reserved an apartment for our stay and knew in advance that cleaning services were not included as indicated on the site. Upon arrival, we were informed by the reception that all services were in fact included but needed to be requested in order to respect our privacy. During our stay I requested to change our towels. While settling or bill, I was surprised to find a charge for the towels as well as a charge for city tax even though the original price stated that all taxes were included. After challenging the added charge for the towel, I argued that the receptionist had told me that all services were included. She denied having said that and then presented me, for the first time, with a price list of all additional services. It was quite an unpleasant surprise and unfortunate that nothing was said while placing the call for the service or that the price list was not disclosed upon arrival.

We got to the hotel on Monday morning to our surprise our 2-bedroom apartment was ready, we were really happy, but I made sure before that we had 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, was kind of confused but Marina made it work. The place was extremely cold by Wednesday we went to the desk (that was another woman I don’t know her name)we asked if we could have some heating, she said no and wasn’t allowed to turn the heat in Italy until November. I got sick and we decided to go to Venice on Friday and spend the night a least there was a warm hotel. We came back Saturday and I was sicker than before, (by now I developed Pneumonia I'm sick still) my husband and brother-in-law approached Marina and she was surprised about our situation. She didn’t know how the other person told us that. She went far and beyond to have us heat. Marina was super. Accommodations are ok, bed hard. The restaurant is very nice, food is good. Gabriel the bartender is amazing. The location is great and they recommend to us the most exquisite restaurants, even one with Michelin stars. Some reviews are bad but my point of view now is: that after COVID-19 something happens with humanity we have less empathy and think that we deserve all. Even if we don't deserve it. If

The grounds were beautiful and the pool, lovely but that is where the positives end. at check in there was no one there who spoke English we had a suite and we’re very disappointed. It turned out to be very dark with little windows and a glass door for the shower which I happen to walk directly into. Also, there was a window over the headboard, which you could look directly into the bathroom. So if you were looking for privacy, you could forget it. Breakfast itself was OK but the service was not. None of the Service spoke English and it was difficult to communicate. Breakfast was served outside and there were too many flies and ants to enjoy anything. I also asked for an iron and an ironing board and I received an iron with no ironing board. I was told they did not have any.
